The Chief Executive Officer reports to the President of the Board of Directors and is responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of the organization, as well as, oversight and adherence to the organization's policies and all applicable laws and regulations. The CEO will ensure the ongoing efficient and effective operation and delivery of all programs and services. They will also be responsible for the ongoing promotion and enhancement of Pine Castle and its reputation in the local community. A key element of the CEO's role is the active involvement in Pine Castle's various fundraising efforts and special events, with the express goal of enhancing and increasing the positive results of these on an annual basis. The CEO will also continue to provide the ongoing staff management, motivation, development and coaching for all senior managers and functional/program associates.
Strategic Leadership and Vision
In Partnership with the Board, provide a strong strategic vision that takes into account all of Pine Castle's strengths; identifies and addresses Pine Castle's weaknesses; consistently seeks and identifies newly emerging opportunities and threats and makes the necessary strategic adjustments to accommodate them.
Financial and Operational Management
Ensure the effective financial management of all Pine Castle operations including the preparation of the budgets and financial reports in cooperation with the CFO and Treasurer. Ensure that the financial performances for Pine Castle Inc. cImplement and successfully manage the annual fundraising plan along with the Chief Development Officer and the Board of Directors. Gain a thorough understanding of and demonstrate a committed to the Benevon model for fundraising that is in use by the organization. onsistent with the annual budgets approved by the Boards of Directors.

Public Image/Strategic Alliances
Serve as the face of Pine Castle in the community and as such, be actively involved in community activities that include effective public speaking and media relations. Build strong strategic alliances in support of Pine Castle's mission, vision and strategic goals/objectives. Maintain working relationships with political leaders at all levels of government and effectively advocate for Pine Castle's Mission, as well as, all people with disabilities.
Implementation of Strategic Plan
Ensure the Strategic Plan is implemented in a manner that is consistent with the Strategic Goals approved by the Board of Directors. Formulate needed policies and strategic planning recommendations to the Pine Castle Board of Directors and solve problems that impede the effective implementation of the Strategic Plan and Strategic Goals.
At least 15 years of relevant, progressively responsible experience with at least 5 to 8 years in an executive leadership position with a like-size or larger organization.
Nonprofit industry experience preferred, as is, familiarity with intellectual/developmental disability or a similar special needs community organization.
Demonstrated success in community engagement at senior levels with the proven ability to impact corporate partnership relationships and fundraising activities.
Strong business and financial acumen with solid strategic planning and implementation skills.
A progressive and creative view towards building and strengthening the organization and its capabilities to serve its various stakeholders into the future; a thought leader and effective champion for the mission.
Political savvy and capable of understanding local, state and national issues that may affect the organization, as well as, the ability to advocate and promote Pine Castle's values and importance to the community.
Passion for the Mission; adept as a coalition builder for community alliances and relationships.
Current knowledge of the field with the ability to anticipate industry trends and the flexibility to adapt, plan and manage accordingly.
Outstanding communicator, listener, networker and public speaker.
A proven leader who possesses strong management and staff development skills and is a consensus builder, with demonstrated success in developing employees into effective leaders.
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study; a Master's or similar advanced degree or professional Certification is preferred.
